Chandni Bar, Page 3, Satta, Corporate, Traffic Signal, FASHION…

Last week I saw the film ‘Fashion’ on a DVD at home and Madhur Bhandarkar has made it one more time. 3 cheers to him…! It’s a wonderful piece and after a very long time I got the satisfaction of having watched a classy movie. I thoroughly relished Chandni Bar, Page 3 and Corporate. Madhur Bandarkar’s style of bringing alive everything you've read in newspapers or watched on TV as an outsider, to the big screen…. its exemplary.
Fashion was a hard-hitting film that enlightens you, moves you, motivates, shocks you, surprises you and of course, entertains you.

The director has beautifully brought out the plight of models in the fashion industry. The boldness and the attitude of Priyanka Chopra who is playing the role of Meghna, a small town girl who aspires to be a super model is incredible. And I also liked the role of Arbaas Khan, a tycoon who rules the fashion industry. His character is very similar to many top managers I have come across at work.

Sets, costumes, dialogue and the music composition is outstanding. The fashion shows, the stunning models, the superb styling, the vibrant colours are all truly upmarket and worth the time spent on watching the movie.

Above all, to me ‘Fashion’ was the most wanted break. After having seen films like Villu, Silambatam, Delhi 6, Pattalam etc ( I don’t even want to comment on these films… they were so awful that are gave up going to theaters), Fashion was a treat for the mind.
